Kitsuke ~ 着付け

Kitsuke taiken - It's an opportunity to try on traditional Japanese garment, the kimono.

Certified Kitsuke stylist will help you to put your choice of Kimono and take photos with your phone. 

This activity is now available for both men and women as we found some source for the men's kimono. 

 

October 18th (Fri), 2019

Available session: 9:30am, 9:50am, 10:10am, 10:30am, 10:50am, 11:10am, 11:50am, 12:10pm, 12:30pm, 12:50pm, 1:10pm, 1:30pm.

2 people per session, only for 24 people.

First come first serve.

Minako Araki - Jikiden Reiki Shihankaku 

 

Minako was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan and resides in Burnaby, BC, Canada. She is a Shihan of Kitsuke, trained teacher of Japanese Kimono dressing.

"l am a mother of two grown-up children, caregiver, and of course a Jikiden Reiki practitioner. I have traveled to more than 30 countries because I wanted to discover myself and this world. Also, l am always curious about new cultures, places and people. 

Since l found Jikiden Reiki, my life has been transforming and love to see Jikiden Reiki family. 

l am so glad and excited to share my skill of Kitsuke, Japanese traditional kimono dressing, for people who want to try it out.

Hideko Kawamura 

 

Hideko is a certified Kitsuke consultant who resides in Japan. 

"I received a qualification of consultant at So-do Kimono Academy in 1976. My hobbies are Kitsuke (Kimono dressing), Shigin (performance of reciting a Japanese poem) and Shin Buyo (traditional Japanese dance in modern style), and I volunteer for a gymnastics class three days a week. I am grateful to be a part of the Kitsuke trial activity. "
