Congress role: With Mari's strong desire to bring the Congress to this continent, Mari oversees everything about this event.

Mari is a full-time Reiki practitioner and offers Reiki treatment at her home studio on a daily basis. She is a mother of three, originally from Nagasaki, Japan, and resides in Chilliwack, BC, Canada. She is the organizer of the Jikiden Reiki Vancouver seminar and a translator for Halifax seminars with Tadao Yamaguchi sensei.

Paul, married for over 40 years and father of two adult children, is enjoying his semi-retirement after teaching high school English and Leadership. He is a sixth degree black belt with the Gima Ha International Karatedo Federation and on their technical committee/grading panel.  He is a Canadian National “A” level karate referee and Chairman of the KBC Official’s Committee. Paul had been trained with Western Style Reiki before he started his Jikiden Reiki training in 2008 in Chilliwack, BC Canada where he resides. He  received his Shihan certification in 2011 from Tadao Yamaguchi sensei. He has learned many aspects of Japanese culture through many years of training in Japanese martial arts such as Karate, Aikido, Jiu Jitsu, and Kobudo (Traditional Okinawan weapons). He enjoys running his own karate club and also loves spending time in his travel trailer and boat.

Sue enjoyed working for 13 years at a flower shop, where she met many people full of love and compassion. She started her Jikiden Reiki training in 2013 in Vancouver, BC Canada and received her Shihankaku certification in 2014 and Shihan certification in 2018 from Tadao Yamaguchi sensei. She is originally from Japan and a resident of the Brookswood area in Langley, BC.

Shoko started her Jikiden Reiki training in 2012 in Vancouver, BC Canada and  received her Shihankaku certification in 2015 from Tadao Yamaguchi sensei. Using Reiki as a home remedy for her family, she has discovered inner peace and happiness even through some challenges. She is originally from Japan and is a resident of Port Coquitlam, BC, just outside of Vancouver.

Marius Bocu started his Jikiden Reiki training in 2012 in Vancouver, BC Canada and received his Shihankaku certification in 2016 from Tadao Yamaguchi sensei. Marius is a Civil Engineer working full time as a technical sales representative for a large American water technology provider. 

Marius is originally from Romania and has lived in Canada since 1997, when he emigrated with his spouse, Simona. Currently they live in the Coquitlam (just outside of Vancouver). 

Marius enjoys watching his favorite hockey team, the Vancouver Canucks, and socializing with family and friends. He likes the ocean breeze, soaking up the rays and listening to the blue waves on a warm summer day.
