"Jikiden" means "directly passed down" in Japanese.

Jikiden Reiki Institute was established in Japan, founded by Chiyoko Yamaguchi and her son Tadao Yamaguchi. It is an authentic Japanese Reiki that hasn't been influenced by other healing modality nor other culture. This means that nothing has been added or amended. It is taught in the same way that Chujiro Hayashi taught Chiyoko Yamaguchi and her family in 1930s.

Focusing primarily on treatment and with a deep Japanese history and culture. It feels pure, simple and grounded and it is extremely effective.

With it's strong and fascinating background of Japanese culture, it is there to become a part of the life of whoever chooses to learn. Anyone can learn this natural ability to promote healing in themselves and others and no one person is more worthy than another. In fact, this is a quote from the founder of this method, Mikao Usui.
